Know the room

A large club spread across the second to fourth basement levels of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku, opened in spring 2023. DJ Mag placed it 63rd in its 2024 Top 100 Clubs poll.

Size

DJ Mag lists a capacity of 1,500. The venue describes five areas over three levels: the Box, R Bar and a gallery on B2, the Ring and Z Lounge on B3, and Z Hall on B4, with the entrance on B1.

Sound

The club says it has more than 100 Adamson speakers on each floor, plus a Cosmic Lab visual system linked to the sound and lights.

Getting there

Seibu-Shinjuku Station is a one-minute walk. The JR, Odakyu and Keio platforms at Shinjuku Station are about seven minutes away, and Shinjuku-sanchome on the Marunouchi, Fukutoshin and Toei Shinjuku lines about eight.

Before you go

Entry is 20+ and every guest shows ID, as the venue holds a late-night entertainment licence. It accepts originals only, such as a passport, driver’s licence or residence card; photos, copies and expired cards are refused. Exposed tattoos can mean refused entry.

Payment

ZEROTOKYO is cashless apart from the coin lockers: bring a credit card, e-money, a transport IC card or a QR payment app.
