Know the room

A large-format music and events venue in a converted industrial site in Port Melbourne, about 6 km from the CBD. Its calendar runs touring DJs, festivals and label nights through the 2026–27 summer.

Before you go

Every PICA event is 18+, with no under-18 entry even when accompanied. Bring current physical photo ID (licence, passport or proof-of-age card); Victorian digital licences in the myVicRoads and Service Victoria apps are also accepted. Expired ID is refused.

Getting there

Bus 235 from Southern Cross Station stops at Plummer & Salmon Street, about seven minutes on foot. Tram 109 is an option but the nearest stop is roughly a 25-minute walk. Rideshare drivers should use 1 Thackray Road and follow event signage to the drop-off.

Parking

There is no on-site parking, and cars left on Woolboard Road or Thackray Road on event days are towed. Free street parking is on Salmon Street, Rocklea Drive and a public car park on the Salmon Street frontage road.

Access

The Thackray Road entrance and event space are wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet. Accessible parking for Blue Badge holders must be arranged through the contact form before event day.

Room notes

Time Out describes a large courtyard under a hangar-like overhang. Smoking and vaping are limited to a designated outdoor area.
