Vybz Kartel →
Vybz Kartel is the stage name of Adidja Palmer, a dancehall artist from Kingston, Jamaica. He began as Adi Banton, a name chosen in tribute to Buju Banton, and became Vybz Kartel after a short-lived trio called Vibes Cartel. From 1998 he worked with Bounty Killer, which raised his profile, and he later signed to Greensleeves Records.
