Kollektiv Turmstrasse began as a German duo of Nico Plagemann and Christian Hilscher, and has since been Plagemann's solo project after Hilscher left. His sound is house-led, crossing into breakbeat, indie dance and techno. Albums include Verrückte Welt (2006), Rebellion der Träumer (2010) and Unity of Opposites. Plagemann also runs YAP, short for You Are Perfect, an event series.

The venue
A multi-floor club in a former factory near Moritzplatz in Kreuzberg, with painted walls, chandeliers and mirror balls across its themed floors.
