Juan Atkins is an American producer and DJ from Detroit, one of the Belleville Three alongside Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson. His aliases include Infiniti, Model 500 and Cybotron, and Cybotron's 1982 track Clear, made with Rick Davis, is often counted as the first proto-techno track. His own label, Metroplex, released the Model 500 records that helped shape Detroit techno.
