American DJ and producer (born 1977)
The Blessed Madonna
Get to know the artist
The Blessed Madonna is producer and DJ Marea Stamper. Her debut album Godspeed draws on house music’s early rhythmic character while connecting it with pop, experimental ideas and a wider range of emotions.
- Explore the catalogue
Godspeed provides an album-length introduction. Its restless drum patterns and stylistic turns connect retro influences with a contemporary production approach rather than staying inside one version of house.
- Making the album
An earlier album was shelved when the pandemic arrived. Stamper returned to the project in 2021, revisiting some music and creating new material through several more years of work.
