Mimi J
Get to know the artist
Mimi J is a Sydney DJ with a focus on house, Chicago records and deep grooves. Record digging and a close connection between the booth and dancefloor sit at the centre of her approach.
- Behind the selection
In her own account, digging through inexpensive crates of Chicago house helped shape her sound. She describes authenticity and the tactile feeling of the music as central to how she plays.
